Who We Are
Established in 1928, the Women's Southwestern Golf Association is a collection of member
golf clubs from the Southwest. States include New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Texas (West
only), California (Southern only) and Nevada. For more information on membership, please
refer to our Member Clubs page.
Our organization was originally formed to provide country club members with an alternative to
the Publinx (which does not allow member of private clubs to play). Now our by-laws allow
public clubs and golfers into our organization.

What We Do
Annually, the WSWGA hosts a MATCH PLAY tournament that features players of all caliber.
The championship flight consists of the top eight women who qualify through a stroke-play
qualifier. The remaining flights are determined by handicap index.
This tournament travels to various golfing escapes including Prescott, Arizona, Palm Springs,
California, Albuquerque, New Mexico and most recently, Casa Grande, Arizona.
